AGM Announcement
Fellow members,
The Annual General Meeting of the Runcorn Tavern Social Golf Club will be held on Sunday 4 October 2009 at 9 A.M. at The Runcorn Tavern,Gowan Rd., Runcorn.
Nominations for Positions,Notices of Motions,Rule Changes and any other item for discussion must be in writing,signed and seconded, and given to the Secretary prior to the 20 September 2009. The only matters for discussion at the AGM will be those that have been given to the Secretary by the due date. Proxy Votes must also be given to the Secretary by the 20/09/09 to be valid.

Golf tips
1. BACK STRAIGHT, KNEES BENT, FEET SHOULDER WIDTH APART. 2. FORM A LOOSE GRIP. 3. KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN! 4. AVOID A QUICK BACK SWING. 5. STAY OUT OF THE WATER. 6. TRY NOT TO HIT ANYONE. 7. IF YOU ARE TAKING TOO LONG, LET OTHERS GO AHEAD OF YOU. 8. DON'T STAND DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF OTHERS. 9. QUIET PLEASE...WHILE OTHERS ARE PREPARING. 10. DON'T TAKE EXTRA STROKES.

Time to start planning 2010 and the Trip Away
AGM
We will be having the AGM shortly date TBC.
If we do not have any major issues to confront then we may be able to have a quick meeting after a game shortly? For that to happen we need your feedback on any issues current or coming up YOU see, that need discussion / put on the agenda.
Also think about taking a position on the committee a bloodless coup d'e tat, is preferred, so start thinking/ talking to each other about nominations.
Trip Away
As per programme, 6 -8 /11/2009. Two games of golf on the North Coast, accommodation back at Hastings, so a retro trip for those who can remember that far back.
We need to know numbers as always so if you are a definite either way, email us to get your name down, costs per head will depend on individual contributions from raffles and a break even contribution. The exact amount is TBC. Numbers will be limited due to the GEC, so get your self organised and tell us by e-mail.

Sometimes no news is good news.
Rumors abound that a long lost member may be returning to the fold, we will keep you posted.
Next game is on 5/7/09 ........Oxley ............ 7.00 am. It is the first round of the championship so get a partner and let Mark know.
Think about this.
Duffers who consistently shank their balls are urged to buy and study Shanks - No Thanks by R.K. Hoffman, or in extreme cases, M.S. Howard's excellent Tennis for Beginners.
